Hallie

My new goal right now is to somehow make it so Hallie is no longer lost, stuck in the "middle child syndrome"!  I've been quite challenged lately, trying to figure out how to get her to stop bugging everyone and to stop looking for rude things to do to everyone.  As I thought about the situation, I decided she hasn't learned any other way to get attention!!   Life has been crazy ever since we left Nebraska.  I've given my attention to so many other people and things that Hallie really has been lost and is trying to find a way back into our hearts!
Any suggestions from all you great parents who have probably never had to go through this, because you've always been great parents, would be greatly appreciated!

My child threw a golf ball at my head today, so I should probably keep my comments to myself. I would suggest mom/daughter dates and daddy/daughter dates, just the 2 of you. My parents used to do that with me, I remember them being fun. But I was the youngest, and like I said, my child threw a golf ball at my head...

Hi, sorry no good advice here. Just sympathy. Your fam is cute, and I love love love the name Harrison.

Good luck with the ear tubes.

I agree with Marlyce. Date night or days work well. If you can schedule them around Dave. Good luck!

I think it is just a girl thing. My girls get moody and cranky all the time. Usually I just pull them down on my lap and make sure they get a little extra snuggle time. They resist at first because they are "too big" but they love it.

I've got the same thing. When Spencer goes to school (Drew has pm kindergarten) I try to focus my time with him then. Ella is with us, but he feels like the 'older child' and we get some good time together. When it's good weather we go play outside but most of the time it's just board/card games. It takes some time, but I can start to see the difference in his attitude and his relationship with his brother and sister. It's like he no longer feels he has to compete when they are all together. We still have bad days though. Drew punched Spencer in the back last night.

Good luck. I KNOW you're an excellent Mom!
